Besides the membrane, I would recommend a bypass so that the initial high tds water that leaves the membrane, when the unit turns on, can empty out till the tds drops to a better value.

Get an ATI test on your ro/di water. Mine was running high in silicates and burning through mixed bed resins. Went with the three stage DI setup and working much better.

Are you sure your RO/DI is piped right? Saw a fellow Reefers set up, and he was sending RO Water down the drain and the reject water to his DI. Burning through DI, on Waldorf, MD water, which didn’t make any sense.
