Does the Robo-tank DIY controller (https://www.robo-tank.ca/) only work with the reef-pi software? I'm a software developer and I'd be interested to see if I could write my own aquarium controller software but there would need to be sufficient documentation for me to be able to figure out how to access the various devices on the board. @robsworld78

Yeah currently it only works with reef-pi but you can certainly do your own thing with it. The ports are either using the GPIO pins or a pca9685 and the pH circuit is over I2C, I can help you with commands with for that. All the port pin numbers are in the manual, if you click on each port type chapter there's a table with the pin number and source.
