MY TANK RUNNING METHOD

I keep all tanks bare bottom and do not let detritus sit around longer than 1-2 weeks, I carbon Dose and Skim Aggressively and slightly wet to really optimize the carbon dosing.
every 1-2 weeks I will suck all detritus out and only replace the water I remove in doing so (20-40ltrs) with Red sea blue bucket ASW I believe this keeps stability In the system.
I have LOTS of fish and feed very heavily 8-9 blocks of frozen assortment food twice a day morning 7AM and Night 6PM
Pictures Below !! Enjoy and feel free to ask any questions!

Is the frag tank stand made from steel? Im assuming so looks like that support piece is welded. Thats a neat design to have two stacked like that and still have plenty of room to work.

Yes all made from 50x50 3mm. the frag tanks and stand were all made in house at Rob's garage.

Very nice tank !!
The picture of march 2015 is much better than the one of April 2014. not only because of the growth ,also the soil looks calmer .

ps : I thought if you hold a clam above water , it will die.... ??

Hi Kris

Thanks for the comments

clams can be out of water for short periods with no harm, yes it will stress but its all dependant on time out of water. from what i have read various clam farms can use the out of water method or a rise of temp to induce spawning.
