I bought some different macro algae’s from corals anonymous for my tank, I’m hoping that it will help keep gha at bay while the Marco rock matures a bit, then I can have something eat it later.
Anyway, I got this piece of “rock chaeto” which I’ve never seen before, as its name suggests it’s like chaeto but firmly attached to a small piece of rock.
Does anyone have experience with this stuff? Is it going to take over and make me miserable?
Yes it’s in the tank already but it was bagged with a few other types so I figured it was already introduced through the water and small pieces that broke off.
Any help is appreciated.

Sorry to bear bad news, but that looks like bryopsis to me.

I should have taken the pic under white lights, but it’s not fern like at all, it’s definitely chaeto like, but much straighter.
