Rock flower in no lighting

I was wondering, if I feed it every three days, would it be possible to keep a rock flower in a cryptic tank? I was thinking of a tube anemone, but like the flower's appearance better.

I don't think so no.
Not sure how you see in truly cryptic tank with no light st all.
But I'd look at the actual par requirements for that animal. As I kinda assume you have some light.


Have you got a build thread? Probably should. It's pretty different style you're going for.

I just changed that because cryptic was an exaggeration; however, the lighting definitely isn't strong enough for a regular anemone and I wouldn't feel safe putting coral in there.

Defiantly worth looking into though. If folks are keeping them well at 50 par you could pull it off.

While not completely NPS, the rock flower prefers low to moderate light and more frequent feedings. Under strong light they tend to seek a shaded area. Mine settled at the base of my rockwork in a 29H tank with a single-bulb 54w PC fluorescent lamp. If you have enough light to grow coralline, you should have no problems with one.

Thanks you two, Maybe I'll give it a shot. If I put it in the brightest part of the tank, middle top, maybe he will stay or shuffle around.
