Hey guys I recently upgraded to a 40 breeder. I used all of the old rock from my previous tank so it was already live rock. I added around 20lbs of dry rock 2 months ago. My end goal is to only have the new rock in the tank. I’m just wondering how long do I have to wait to remove the old rock
Thanks for any replies

You don't necessarily need to keep it but I would. It's 2020, you can dump in a buttload of {insert your bacteria here} and be good to go in a couple of days.

Why get rid of it? You already mixed the dry rock with it?
My old rock is a mix of colors and rock types, my new rock is all white and the same type so I just want it all to be the same

Yeah I guess I should just wait awhile
Up to you. If you really don't want the rock in there then just add in bacteria. I'd maybe keep the other rock in there while you add an ammonia source and take it out after a week.
