Rookie question

Question.
I need to leave my UV sterilizer off for the night because of a plumbing issue. It's going to have tank water sitting in it not moving and not heated. It's a 40 watt Pantair, probably holds a couple gallons. Will the water go bad?

It’ll go cold but I doubt the water will go bad.

Thank you for the reply. It seems like it gets stinky if it sits for a period of time. I just don't know how long you can get away with.
