I’m in the process of setting up a 20g IM AIO, and was wondering if a royal gramma would work with a pair of clowns? I was thinking maybe a snowflake or other designer Ocellaris. Also which should I add first if they are compatible? Thanks

Friend has them in a 30 with no problem. A 20 may be a bit small when they are full grown. She put in gramma first and a couple weeks later the o. clowns.l

I would add the clown fish last to prevent potential aggression issues.

if you have enough rockwork providing hiding spaces to the gramma, it should work IMO. Gramma is a cave dwelling fish, not a free swimming fish, so there should be ample rockwork.

Yeah, I knew I could’ve been pushing bit, but I tried making a couple caves in my rock work.
