CAPTIVE CARE – This is a semi-aggressive fish and should be kept with fish of similar temperament. If the tank is over 200 gallons, it can be kept with other wrasses, including a mate of the same species with only one male per tank. It is very rare to see the female Royal Pencil Wrasse in the aquarium trade. Wrasses are known jumpers so the aquarium top should be covered.
