My buddy has a small frag . I've never seen a pic of anything larger than a smallish mini colony? Anyone grown this out or is it too new? Curious what the color mix is when they grow out.

It's pretty new, and most who have gotten it, ( I can probably count the number of people in the states who have it on my fingers) start to butcher it as soon as any growth tips appear so they can make money. I am growing it out and have not sold any frags yet. I did cut it up on 12/31/2019 to spur growth and get good even coloration to the colony. Here's the pictures so far. I hope to have a large enough colony to cut a peice or two for my next coral show which is in April.

The patient - post surgery I cut the 3 larger tips off and glued them around the base 12/31/2019:

Thanks for sharing that! I am happy you glued them back on the colony instead of selling them, gotta give you props on that. I am curious to how it looks grown into a colony.
I am also very curious to see it as a colony. It really is a stunning piece!

Any updates from anyone? This thing seems to grow slow for a milli

Not the fastest grower for sure but it’s still doing well for me

Im pretty sure A Reef Creation and The Coral Kings each have a piece they are growing out. Im lucky enough to be local to them. One of these days ill ask Randy where its hiding and get a look in person
