Hey guys, just want to share my tank and new fish. I’ve been running a red sea reefer 250 for a year and a half now. I had a bout with marine velvet a little while ago and lost a few fish. The tank has been fallow for over three months. Yesterday I received my shipment from cultivated Reef of a dozen snow onyx juvenile clownfish from the same clutch. They are still young and haven’t fully colored but they are still beautiful. I have four bubbletips just waiting to get tortured by them. I will go to it to share pics as they grow.

The plan as of now is to keep just them, my fat copperband butterfly and maybe one other fish like a wrasse or sand sifter. I know the bioload is heavy as is.

I got my clowns as well as some beautiful anemones and acans from cultivated reef. I’ve probably exchanged 15-20 emails with Holly who has been a tremendous help. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for clowns and corals. They have a few other fish as well.

Pics aren’t the best but I just wanted share the update. So far aggression has been minimal. This morning two of the larger ones finally ventured to a different anemone. I’ve seen one host a hammer on the other side of the tank but just once. Last night all 12 were sleeping in the same anemone tucked in tight. So awesome.

Please update if there is any severe dieoff or aggression - I am building a RSR250 and was concerned that the space would not be enough for a 10 clown harem. I would love to see your continued success!

I certainly will. So far it’s going very well. Just the 12 and a Copperband.

Quick update, all 12 clowns are growing and coloring up nicely. They all have their own unique patterns and colors. No real aggression, just your normal nipping and roughhousing so far. It helps that my rose bubble tip anemone Has split five times.
