I have a rusty color “algae” on the bottom of my tank. The longer my lights are on it starts to get stringy. Nitrates we’re a bit high so I was recommended to dose with nopox. Helped my levels but algae still here. Next step was coral snow plus. Any suggestions
I can’t view the photo, but is it producing oxygen near the end of your light cycle? If it becomes stringy I would be worried it’s dinoflagellates. What are your Nitrate and Phosphate values?
Pictures are too small for me to speculate but if you do suspect dinoflagellates...
Best first step is to try to ID under microscope.
You could post microscope picture and video in one of the dino threads for help.
