Ryan's uk reef with attached nano

So here's my little slice of ocean.
It's a 48 x 24 x 24 with a 24 x 18 x 18 nano plumbed into to run off the same sump for easy water changes.

Equipment I run is
Evergrow it5012 led lighting running a modified ab+ setting as it was just too blue for me.
TMC 8000 return pump which is running into a splitter for both tanks.
Reef octopus xp2000 skimmer
2x reef octopus pulse4 for flow
In the nano I run a little jebao sw4 for a little extra flow.

Fish wise I have
Ornatus wrasse
Christmas wrasse
Pair of common clowns
Pair of black and white clowns(in the nano)
Tomini tang
Striatus tang
A single male wreck fish.

Corals I have a mix of sps, lps and a lot of zoas( I have a slight addiction to these)

Thanks it's taken a while to find some of the nicer corals, which I swapped out for some of the more boring but fast growing stuff.
I do love my wrasse and intend to get a few more once I get some space sorted for quarantine again.

Had a bit of a result today, I picked up a couple of bits from a tank closure. I have been after a clam for a while now so when I was offered this I had to have it. I went with a £100 expecting to walk away with the clam only. The guy was very happy to let me walk away with a bit more [emoji4] as he thought I would give them a good home.

Today I made use of the good weather and got busy with a hacksaw to create a little frag tree for a little tank I have spare, I'm not keen on egg crate so made use of some dead rock I had laying around. Still needs drilling yet but I've a little while before my led chips arrive so no rush [emoji4]
Should be good for a few frags.

Little update.
Not much happening in the main display tanks, but I have been busy with my side project for the little frag growing tank.
I got my 5w cree chips and got busy with a soldering iron(which I hate) and the end result apart from the driver being woefully underpowered(new one on order)is fairly powerful compact led light that actually works[emoji54]
I also have some acrylic to make a casing for it and a temperature controlled fan for cooling. Hopefully in a few more days(time permitting) I'll have a complete working light ready to hang above my frag tank.

New driver arrived so wired everything up and soldered and heat wrapped the connections and voila a nice little light for the frag tank. Tested over the nano for 6 hours just to see if the fan could cope with the temp of the heat sink and it's worked fine, not even got up to half it's running speed. Now to crack on with sorting my garage out ready for the frag tank and quarantine tank to be set up.

Just realised I have not updated this for a very long time.
Things have been ticking over nicely but, things are about to change in the nano.
I got some glass cut for an upgrade so here's a few pics of the progress so far.
I'm still waiting on bits and pieces to turn up so I'll update when they arrive and it moves on a bit further [emoji846]

Lighting rig build went well and is now ready.
Tank is in the house after being leak tested for a week and flushing any residual contaminants. Hopefully I'll be swapping the little nano out tomorrow and re doing the scape and corals. This should get both tanks to allow more room and get them both running slightly better and easier to manage.

I have spent a good few hours getting everything swapped and sorted. The only thing left is to arrange the corals properly. Next up will be the quarantine system for new fish as the tanks look a little bare.

Haven't visited here for a little while so I thought I'd update my thread a little.
I've made a few changes as i got tired of my displays looking like a frag shop.
I had a few spare bits of kit laying around so a frag tank was born.
First the displays

The frag tank, not great pics and the bulbs are a little passed it but it works and hopefully it'll help a little towards my upgrade piggybank.
