Great tank! What's your t5 bulb combination and schedule?
I've always used all ati blue plus 1 purple and one coral plus each of my tanks have 3 reefbrite strips on them. 11 hours total. 6 hours full blast. 3 hours blues in the morning same for night.

That goofy homewrecker looks great!
It does! I religiously cut from this mini instead of my main colony. Except every single frag I cut from it turns into what it's supposed to look like. Once they encrust, they turn into this

wwc after party

Crazy how half my stuff just grows and colors utterly out of control. All signs of extremely good health. But I can't grow a HW LOL I tried atleast 10 of them, and for me to loose count is probably even worse. I'll never understand. Even some of the tenuis and granulosa are half half with me.

It's important for me to just stick it through and except its fate. I consider my reef a complete mixed reef with every type of mainstream species of coral, the amount I carry in a small water volume is definitely a challenge.

I bought all this stuff like new sand, cured it with some rock also, radion hybrid, all new gear. And I'm sitting here like if I make all these changes, there will be something if not some more things that's not going to like it, but at the benefit of what.

And I guess that right there ^ is what I strive not to be. Through all the temptation, all it takes is 1 colony to strip and my water quality is trashed. I'm sure you guys smelt and seen the water in a dead acro colony bag before. Definitely got myself in the bit of a jam here.

Just speaking outloud, I'm sure at some point someone can resonate with me here. Maybe someone needed to hear it also. But at this point I have 0 plans moving forward with changes. My sand is so bad, it's near 7 years old without cleaning it. Probably turned into rock at this point

I think that’s what makes this hobby addictive. Once your tank grows crazy corals like weeds you chase growing everything so the one little frag that doesn’t grow becomes your goal. For me it’s always been the original pearl berry that would never survive, yet everything else is happy, it just sits there. Reguardless of moving it around, curious if you give that frag to a friend and just see why it does in a different tank or take it to poto.
