My bubble tip looks sucked up and sad. When I came home he was halfway to this shrunken state with red, stringy stuff coming from his mouth. What the heck is happening?

He was more then likely pooping

Did you target feed him recently with any red meaty foods? I've noticed that if I don't chop up meaty preparations fine enough, the nem will end up spitting them back out the next day.

This is my first go around with an anemone. (rookie). He ate a thawed krill about 2 days ago. Are they supposed to look deflated after pooping? ....if that is what happened.

Give him some time if he looks.the same tomorrow ill be worried.. bubbles are far hardier then people know

rule of thumb is nothing bigger than 1/2 the mouth size, sadly for the anem it eats with its bum so what goes in comes out the same way and deflating is its version of uuughhhhh! lol, try it with thawed mysis or some nice fresh oyster a couple of times a week

I would give it a day and he'll be right as rain. My RBTA is not happy and has been at a quarter of his size for about 3 weeks.

He's slowly inflating again! Maybe I
Should vary it's diet and add in mysis! Thanks everyone.
