Safe to store empty tank in cold Garage?

I am replacing my 210g with a Waterbox REEF LX 380.8 (Glass Only). My 210 is currently built-in and I still need to do some small renovations to the area before I can put the new tank in it's place. I'd like to store this monster in the garage for a few months until I'm ready for it. (Gets gown to lower 40s in there). I heard mentioned on a livestream that storing an empty tank in a colder environment is not good for the silicon seals. I've been in this hobby a long time and I've never heard that before. Is there any truth to that? seems like the silicon around the exterior of my windows would disagree.

Should I store it in my house somewhere just to be safe?

you are fine....this is ASI sealant.....if it gets below -50 or near 400F in your area, it not going to matter anyway.....

You're fine, and you're right about your window caulk. I live in Upstate New York, have for most of my life. I've had tanks in and out of my unheated garage all the time over the years, nothing happens to them. I just purchased a new 150 gallon, I had them drop it in my garage last month, and I have absolutely zero worries about the cold weather hurting anything. As long as the tank is dry, if it's wet the glass may crack, but the silicon will be fine :-)
