Well to be fair the tank was up and running without issues as of day one. So... Maybe it's my desire to tinker now that I have a job that encourages me to be home more than on site.

Yeah and I learned a lot about skill sets I have never used, like a router and cutting/glueing acrylic. So I should love the fact that it all held together and didn't disintegrate on install haha
Is it a case of always something needs doing or You just wanting to do it? LOL
Man You paid attention & took your time getting it just how Ya wanted it.

Yesterday was a fun day at the haven. I was feeding the tank and noticed i was missing a fish. Turns out, like usual, he made his way into the overflow. I spent about... ok nevermind, i wont admit how long... getting him out and into the sump. I then played around with the settings on the flow rates to try to silent that annoying constant water noise. Eureka!!!! I found the sweet spot! I was so pleased i had to celebrate! I have never been keen on restricting drain water, but wow i cant even hear this thing run!

So i went out the the living room, grabbed my bottle of Grangestone and poured a glass in celebration of this victory. As I collected the carpet cleaninig stuff to get that fresh puppy smell out of my fish room, I heard the return pump struggling for water. How is that even possible? I come in to see the water right at the top line of the tank and the sump empty...

I do not deserve this Grangestone. So i set it down and went back to the drawing board. I ended up kinda winning by using a silencing straw in my return line but it was to short so it didnt work past the test. So tonight i will grab some longer air hose and make it work.

So I was able to get the room carpet cleaned and our viewing chair moved into the room. I still have some things to finish on this such as wiring up the batter backups and getting some of this coral out of my tank so i can have it look more natural. But here we are:

The room layout for my fish and dogs.

Looking at the tank from the chair. The most visible camera is for the dogs, so that will be moved soon.

Zoa mountain is doing good, but i need to raise it up. I will be sorting my live rock soon to do this.

I am in love with the bubble and candy, i just wish i could keep the bubble. (part of the deal in this purchase was i give it back when we build the new tank, so i will be fragging a piece off for my troubles for sure LOL)

This tang loves to be in my pictures.

Full view of the front mess. Going to strip the anchor of its inhabitants and move all this out to make room when i build the other tank (2 other builds in planning right now)

Here is the command center that i am working on. The rough draft works, but major changes planned for the near future.

One of my favorite rocks in the zoa's, and i have no idea what they are.

Here is a close up of the anchor residents and their staged friends. All will be moving in the next couple of weeks. I am looking forward to the organization to come :D

I love this in the day, but really love it at night. The color darkens, but the feeders/feelers look awesome

I finally silenced the tank the right way and am much happier with it now. It is amazing what a little time will do for your task list!

Closer front view.

Pixel with blue lights on set for "cloudy" It gets pretty close to real view.

I have seen several post talking about how their GSP looks different than others. Here are two frags from two different tanks. One will end up on my overflow wall and the other will go to a rock i can cut down.

This bad boy is on the chopping block. Love this large colony, but i need the space so a local FB page will see it listed soon. Cant wait for the frag to do this again :D

Here is the second colony i am moving out soon. The dont look all that big, but they are huge colonies :D

Here is the smaller of the two colonies with standard grabbers for size comparison. It is sitting about 1/4 inch off the colony. Huge i say!

So being unable to just sit back and wait to make room, i made an unplanned purchase. I will work on better pictures later, but i wanted to make sure i didnt annoy it to much on the adjustment.

For those that dont know, I hate nems. I have had several over the years and ended up selling them back off (or lost a few due to early mistakes) to get them out of my tank. I hate the way they move where they want and the constant feel of them getting into a place they shouldnt. I also had one eat a sea hare. That was weird, but that was also the last straw on my last one.

So i found a simple solution to the love of their arms moving freely. It is no where near the same, but this is my newest member to my addiction.

Better pictures later
