After a buddy asked me to send him a video of my tank under blues, I made this video. I am selling three large colonies and a couple buyers wanted to see the whole picture. Plus I'm new to videos on the tube, so I am playing around with ideas.

Here is a very recent view of my tank as it sits right now.

Very busy weekend with some local reefers and helping friends. Setup some new tanks at a friends house and picked up a new goby and hawk fish, i think. I will need to double check that lol. Sold three of my large colonies, sad about one as it wasnt in the plan to sell and waiting for pickup on the most recent. That said, i need to figure out what to do with those green mushrooms as no one wants them locally.

Hoping to get everything set to rescape when i return from holiday and finally clean up my sandbed for my new goby to play in. Only real issue thus far is i added xenia to my sump, but i do not have the parts made yet for the lighting option...

Time will tell :D

So being unable to just sit back and wait to make room, i made an unplanned purchase. I will work on better pictures later, but i wanted to make sure i didnt annoy it to much on the adjustment.

For those that dont know, I hate nems. I have had several over the years and ended up selling them back off (or lost a few due to early mistakes) to get them out of my tank. I hate the way they move where they want and the constant feel of them getting into a place they shouldnt. I also had one eat a sea hare. That was weird, but that was also the last straw on my last one.

So i found a simple solution to the love of their arms moving freely. It is no where near the same, but this is my newest member to my addiction.

Better pictures later

Where’d you get the tube anemone? Gorgeous!

My guy can only get the orange, and it’s pretty dull. Been looking for a neon green like that

I got it from a local guy in our coral group. He has a couple more, or at least he did the other day. I actually went to get a different one and saw this one. Then when he gave me the price, i didnt hesitate. He was about 60-80$ cheaper than the LFS in town.

What a night! I came home from work, feeling sick and tired. I went to the tank and saw my two new buddies out and about, kind of. This maybe me start taking pics. As i was playing around with the camera, trying to get some decent shots, i saw something light up under the blues that i didnt see before. Turns out, some rando piece of coral found its way into my system and i have no idea what it is yet or where it came from. I clean, inspect and dip everything. But somehow, someway, this little tiny frag found its way into the setup.

I immediately pulled it from the sand and tried taking pictures. All look like crap of course, but here are some shots from the night and my new little buddy (maybe).

Here it is circled just in case. I think its a mushroom, but hopefully it will open up more now that its facing towards the light and not buried in the sand.

And a few more. I had more fun with this than expected.

Sally still looks like hell from her near death experience, but she has been like this for months and refuses to die. Healthy eater and still the resident bully, so we will see how long she holds on. Sucks because i want a new one with the sails, but i refuse to give up on her since she wont give up on me.

Tonight is the last night i can make any real progress on "finishing" up the inside of the tank. So i figured i need to stop making excuses and get these covers clear coated.

Well that didnt take long. Cap broke and i thought i would try to make it spray anyway. Bad idea. Next thing i know i have inconsistent spray with bubbles.... Forget this... I am going to just slap a couple R2R stickers on them when they dry.

I scored a great deal on a Kessil fuge light, but still havent made the stand for it. So i am going to do this while i am out of town so the xenia and rock get some light.

Batteries finally installed. Threw away the junk power supply and replaced them with trickle chargers and added in a volt meter. Still need to put the covers on and make the display for the meters.

Thats a good look right there :D

Holy cow we have light, finally. For those who have asked me about "light creep" here you go. If i left it like this i would have stuff growing everywhere, and i do not want stuff growing outside of the fuge.

What are the frag tank legs for?

Are they ABS?

I got an email about registering our 3 d printer today. We don’t have a 3 d printer. Guess Santa might be bringing a big box for me next week...

And I probably missed it, but what are you running on the batteries?

A friend and a supplier of some of my coral has built a new grow tank and is using egg crate as his frag rack. These will suspend the racks 6" off of the floor to help flow, lighting and cleaners to do their job.

HAHA, congrats on the printer (that is if its not spam email) and enjoy making all kinds of things for your tank. I still have much to make for my own!

Each battery currently runs an MP10. Eventually one will run the return pump, but im not at the point of caring that much yet. our usual power outage is less than 2 hours.

Yup, we get rolling blackouts in the summer or when someone texts and drives. So i only focus on flow. Not to worried about temp or light. Return is not 100% necessary either for the duration i deal with.
