Can I add 5 more drops of ph dye to my salifert ph test kit to increase the intensity of color change and make it easier to read? Or will this make the test read faulty?

Example:
I did it normally and it said ph was 7.9

I wasn' 100% sure so I added 5 more drops making 10 total, and it read more like 8.1

Is accurate?

Oh ok. Then probably it' closer 7.9

What would be more likely to stop growth? Ph 7.9, 0.00 on the Hanna for po4 also 0 no3 on api. Or something else? dosing vodka and it keeps po4/no3 0.

I never really liked Salifert's Ph test hit. I went an HM Digital Ph/temp pen.

Not the pH. One or both of N and P would be my expectation.
