Salinity shock hammer coral HELP

Hey guys so basically I checked my salinity and seen that it dropped to 31 ppt then I accidentally brought it up to 35 ppt in a day and I think I caused salinity shock. Is my hammer coral dead or is there anyway I can bring it back to life? It’s been 3 days since I brought it to 35 ppt salinity and it’s been stable since then though I don’t see much improvements if any on the hammer coral. What can I do? Please help!

Hey! I would be sure to ease into any changes going forward, but for now (since it’s been a few days) the best thing would be to monitor and not make any more changes until it starts to look better unless absolutely necessary. What are the other water parameters looking like?

Maybe its the picture angle, but it looks like the stem looks oddly close to the rock, it would need space for the polyp to open. I'm not sure those polyps are still attached to the stem, or if they have detached and just leaning against the rock. The skeleton is green so its had enough time to grow micro algae. I would just leave it alone and see what happens.

Looks like the polyp is only half there with the other half in bits and pieces around the rock. I don't think the bump in salinity would do it. You can dip corals in peroxide/saltwater mix at 50/50 ratio for a few minutes and then back into full strength saltwater and it doesn't really bother them.

Rock looks very white. Tank parameters and light level? How long have you had this coral?

As said above check and post results of your parameters. Tank looks super new. And could be the issues. Patients is key.
