Do you use other additives in your salt to bring up Alk or Calc when you mix new salt? Just curious. The PH usually drops a bit during water changes so I was curious if people did more prep to mixing water than just salt. Using Pro-Reef salt.

No dont add anything. You can do more harm then good. I thought i would be smart and add alk to my salt to bring it up and put the wrong amount in and raised my alk by 3. Because a water change is such a large amount added all at once you really gotta be careful. Like jon said pick a salt you like and just add as directed. Nothing more is needed
