Salt water into new tank

Should I fill my new tank with Rodi and add salt after or do you mix 5-10 gallons at a time with salt mixed in already?

Probably not a great idea dumping clumps of salt directly on top of a sand bed and trying to get a homogeneous mixture.

You could use the sump and a power head

As long as you have water circulation it will be fine. It doesn't have to be strong, just get the old return pump going and you won't have a salinity gradient. Diffusion will take care of the rest.
