Since I am just getting back in after 6 year break I am about to start adding fish to the tank . I have been reading about live aquira and what happens to them but how has saltwater fish.com been . They still a decent play to buy from .

I bought a bunch of Trochus snails from them about a month ago. All arrived perfectly healthy. That’s my only experience with them, though.

I think they are great, have an ocean of stuff to think about purchasing, competitive deals and pricing, customer service is good, however they ship FedEx😉
FedEx is a hit or miss with deliveries in my area

I bought CUC from them a couple years ago. Snails were great, packaging good, good price. However shipping was delayed Supposed to be next day, wasn't. Day off work... etc. The only loss was an urchin and I got store credit.

I have a great yellow assessor from them. I ordered two, one was DOA, but I was given a store credit. The other is a great fish! Assessors are usually a good price there. I got a baby Diamond Goby, and it’s a real treat also. Happy busy fish.

Saltwaterfish.com is fine. FedEx, not so much.

I've ordered from saltwaterfish.com multiple times. The fish have always been fine, packed well, clearly labeled, fairly priced.

On my last order, I ordered three fish. None of them made it a week. One was dead by the end of the first day, the other was dead by day three, and the last simply vanished (likely died and was stripped to the bone by my CUC). All of them acted VERY off during acclimation and initial observation. I suspect they had been handled roughly by FedEx and were unable to recover.

FedEx and UPS take turns being unreliable, and right now it's FedEx's turn. At least up here in the PNW, I avoid buying from any place that ships through FedEx.

I’m super partial to Bluezooaquatics. My saltwaterfish experiences have been good though. Bluezoo 💯, plus UPS. I’d recommend getting the UPS app, and arrange at a hold location pickup. Bogus when they drop off 9:00 pm on my doorstep. I also say BZ because they package well, heating seams adequate this time of year and not overly warm. Nothing odd has ever happened ordering with BZ, except they sent me a Rose Banded Fairy Wrasse instead of my Dottyback.

I have never had an issue with Saltwaterfish.com. Everything I have ever order arrived as advertised, with great packaging.

Look for (Google) a FedEx "access point" near you-- could be a chain drugstore, local Pack N' Ship, etc. The package will go there first (and stay climate controlled)-- and not be on the hours-long run through every neighborhood and then finally to the end of your driveway.
