And CoralReefTN is in Jefferson City Tennessee. It is a retail store run by Sustainable Aquatics, and has a wide variety of healthy captive bred clownfish available, as well as a decent variety of other captive bred gobies, blennies, and dottybacks. If I was in Tennessee I'd definitely check it out! The fish I received from them are gorgeous!

I love FOWLR Tanks. I did finally add a few corals they will not eat to mine but its all about the fish.

Glad you joined. my history: started freshwater, transitioned exact same equipment over for my saltwater only fishtanks years ago, and love FOWLR (though...but we have reef (coral AND fish) at the moment). Nice thing with fish only is so many more possible options - butterflies, angels, ... I'd go with a BIG tank and plan for gorgeous fish - you're post has me dreaming.

Fish can be bought any where local, from other hobbyists, and even online. There is Forum to help you find others in Tennessee. Maybe this will help you:

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID)

Welcome welcome - if you are new and will not have a QT system, please please consider the extra cost of buying QT'd fish. will save on potential heartbreak

Best browse LFS and ask questions. Observe their tanks. Their livestock. Ask about QT practices. Do they use copper in their fish only systems. Do they keep fish a few weeks before offering. Grasp their level of knowledge. Join a local fish club. They might have already done much of this and provide actual experience.

Still a crap shoot. Best to QT, if practical. Otherwise get damsels and clowns. Tough and colorful. Not easily killed. What we used back in the day to cycle because they were so hard to kill.

You sound as if your heart is warm and caring, so yes - YOU ARE THAT GOOD!

We all start same place when new, if riding bicycle, driving car, or starting aquarium. All three are the same - start and go slow so you don't get banged up. If something goes sideways, use your BBA - Bounce Back Ability - its great for this hobby and great life skill.

I know you can do it. Keep us posted.
