Hi Everyone,

I have a 20 WB cube. I have always used instant ocean for salt mix.

I have recently bought the red sea salt mix due to wanting to have higher alk as well as the benefits of the salt.

How would you suggest introducing the new salt? Should I do 2 gallon water changes every 3-4 days? Instead of my typical 4-5 gallon water change?

I would mix the 2 salts together and slowly increase the Red Sea portion . Stick with normal water change amounts.

Absolutely - That’s the golden rule of Reefing - start with significantly less and work your way up to full potency!
