Well I am getting ready to set up a frag tank which will also be a grow out tank. I now have a frag tank which is bare bottom, and it works. It will be a frag QT after the new frag tank is set up. So with this info would you recommend setting the new tank up with sand in tank or maybe having a sand bed in fuge? I have plenty rock that has been curing for 4 or more months that I can use for the setup. The frag tank will be a 4' 50 gallon shallow tank. I plan to run led T5 combo or MH T5 combo for lighting. Skimmer I have not yet decided, or may just go ATS. Thanks

If it's just going to be a frag tank I think you may be over complicating things by adding sand, but it can be done.
