Have a question recently set up a new tank after my tank crashed and started dosing pretty early on. Is this precipitation or sand from my newly setup tank sandbed.

It's sand! If you're having precipitation issues, it most likely will show up on equipment that generate heat....heaters, pumps, powerheads.

Agreed. It will coat everything that generates heat.

On a side not, like your skimmer stand. I had mine setup pretty much the same but ended up taking a piece of acrylic I had & made me a stand because the skimmer never would stay straight on the eggcrate

Funny you noticed that because that’s already a huge issue.

Yep, I had a 18"x12" piece of 1/4" acrylic that I cut down to fit the bottom dimensions of the skimmer & cut the leftover into leg pieces & used acrylic glue to make the stand. Then after all that I ending up buying the Trigger systems Sapphire 36" that had the adjustable depth system. LOL

Its sand. I swear mine can spit sand out on the floor if she wants me to feed her.
