Having an issue with Diatoms again, think my nutrients are out of balance, my PO4 is around 0.15

While i get this under control, has anyone had any success with using those sand syphon cleaning things in a reef tank to eliminate Diatoms?

They work, but if its actually diatoms they’re just going to come back right after you clean them. It’s better to just try to eliminate them completely.

.15 isn't terrible. What size tank and what are your other parameters? If nitrate is lower or zero that could be a problem. How old is tank?
