SaraB's 268G Envision Build

Here's the new 45G cube that replaces my 29G Biocube. If you were at MACNA, this is the the same set-up that was in the Drs. Foster and Smith booth. It's a 45G Marineland Cube with a Metal Halide/T-5/Moonlight fixture:

WoW!!! What a build you have there!!! Love that pair of Bellus Angels I saw in your FTS ... I have a pair myself ... had them for nearly a year now ... My favorite fish in my tank! The female tries to "show-off" to the male every now and again ... but he doesn't seem overly interested in her. :(

Thanks! On Thanksgiving I finally had a moment to actually watch my fish rather than working on the system all the time and I watched them actually spawn just before lights out. I've seen them do it 2 more times after that as well. It's amazing what you'll see when you actually pay attention to your reef!

I hope one day my fish room will be as awesome as yours!!! Slowly but surely getting there. ON a side note you still running your surges??? Do you like or dislike them if you still are running them? Thought I would check since its been up for a while now!

Yes, I'm still running the pair of surges and I like the extra and cheap flow they deliver!

I need to convince Rod to come up to our local club forum meeting sometime and he could demonstrate how to build them. I will supply the 2 two tanks and supplies of course! :xd::bigsmile::tongue:

very good work Sara... :)

good luck with the new frag tank and 45g... looks really nice... :)

Very nice Sara, I would love to get one of these to add to my system for a pair of clowns and an anemone. I should probably finish the main system off first before I start planning the additions. LOL

That's my plan for the tank as well ... it will house my RBTA, 2 clownfish and my favia collection. Of course I'll have to add a couple gobies in there for fun and my blue assessor too.

I like the tank! I remember it from the booth at MACNA too.
It'll be nice to see that up and running. I like their new light setup.

It it snowmobiling season now, so it may take a bit to get that one up and running!

Wow! Very nice system; took a while to get through the whole thread, but well worth it. You have one killer system - love the surge tanks! Thanks for sharing.

I love the new marineland cubes

Im not sure if anyone saw but my custom drilled marineland 45 cube was at macna too.

I was not a big fan of the overflow on the center back, so i had it custom drilled in the corner.

They are gorgeous tanks and well built.

Thanks for the kind words! I've got to get some updates on here soon.

Sorry, I either missed seeing your cube at MACNA or I overlooked the overflow being different. That, or I must have been too busy drooling over the Foster & Smith cube and all the goodies jammed into it
