SB Reef Lights - What Settings do you Use

I ran 50% blue and 15% white when I had a 16" extreme over my frag tank. Unfortunately it has huge hot spots even when mounted 14" above the tank so I went a different route. I'm going to eventually use it on a coral quarantine tank

Pulling the lenses helped immensely with blending and hot spots for me. Loss of par can be overcome by lowering the lights a little and or increasing the intensity. Food for thought. :)

Are you still running this setting? I just turned mine to 100 blue 20 white last night and came across this. How is growth? I like the way it looks but want to make sure its good for both lps and spa.

I had pretty good growth while using it but recently switched to 100 blue and 60 white for the boost in PAR. It is a little bit too white for my liking, but I am not home to view it most of the day between school and work. When I’m taking pictures or want to enjoy viewing the tank, I turn it back to 100/20, sometimes blue only. My tank is mostly SPS but I do have some LPS and softies. I’m getting around 420PAR at my rack 5” down, 370 ~12 inches down, and 150 at my sandbed (24”) and my light is hung about 14” above the surface of the water.

So, has anyone put a proper PAR meter to the SB Reeflights as of yet. I'm a bit dubious of the Seneye readings on the Fish of Hex video. Hopefully, someone has one out there has done this. Anybody?

How much did par/lux dropped without the lenses?
What lux to par factor did you use? 50?

I want to say it was 60. I calculated a 20% loss in par at the bottom of my tank. I had enough range with the dimmers to make up the difference.

What where your intensities after pulling the lenses off. I have a lps/softies with an extreme WiFi SBReefLights box and want to pull the lenses off for a more diffuse lighting. I have it mounted at 6" above the water line.
I'm thinking on running at 55B/5W

60 blues, 20 whites here. Have to slowly acclimate LPS at this intensity. I am running a 32 inch extreme Wi-Fi on an 85 gal. tank. 150 to 160 par on sandbed at this intensity. I measured this with an Apogee meter.

I know this thread is old, but do you have a chart for your par readings?
