Dosing :) calcium, alk, nitrate, phos, all for reef

Wc on 300+ gallons is too expensive.

And uptake is higher than a weekly water change can produce.
Have you automated the dosing based on automatic testing? What're you using and are you happy with it?

If that was me... I'd order two IO salt buckets at petco (get a discount when you do in-store pick up)... use the IO salt to transfer and set up the new tank... keep using IO for daily smaller water changes to stabilize the tank. Once it settles in a month or two you can start doing smaller wc with the rpm salt. This would save you some money in RPM salt.
Or if there's time order 2 on chewy auto delivery, $33.48 per 160g bucket.

I'm liking the AF Sea Salt, I made the switch from Reef Crystals, mixes clean and most parameters are right where I need them. Iodine and Iron are a bit low.

I think I paid roughly that... it was $70 for two buckets including tax.

I use red sea blue bucket for my expensive salt. It's not as clean as IO I must admit. I do want to try AF salt tho... maybe I'll grab some next time BRS has a sale. I do use and like their component 1,2,3. ...

I'm going to have to figure out something else when my Ca consumption goes up.

Have a link? Tried finding it on Chewy but everything I see is more than that

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
