At first I read...I do them batches.Couple 5 gallon buckets with heater and powerhead, KCl for dip, I use water from the tank, so a water change for the tank in the process. I do them in batches.

Well that that's just batches crazy. At first I read...I do them batches.
I add about 20 drops on a small Tupperware container. Maybe 1/4 gallon. Just enough to get an brown/orange color like watered down tea. What is the recipe for using lugols as a dip?
what do you do to cut acros? I always feel like bone cutters make a mess. Someday in the distant future I want a gryphon band saw.One thing nobody mentioned, but I think is also important, at least for acros it is:
Cut the base off the acro, ideally cut into health tissue and remount it. If you don’t want to do that, at least scrub the base and below.
I get a a fairly clean cut with my bone cutters.what do you do to cut acros? I always feel like bone cutters make a mess. Someday in the distant future I want a gryphon band saw.

Yes.Do you do this with SBB frags? I've never removed plugs day one. Always dip and into tank, let them acclimate for a few days first
I might do it like that if I had a QT tank.Do you do this with SBB frags? I've never removed plugs day one. Always dip and into tank, let them acclimate for a few days first
Which ones do you have? I feel like I need to replace mine after 2.5 years. I got the Aquavitro (fancy seachem) line of bone cutters.I get a a fairly clean cut with my bone cutters.
Works for anything. I'm not sure of the main advantages of KCL other than it is supposed to be gentle. Coral RX is tea tree type oil I thought, not iodine. It doesn't have any yellow color to it.I don’t have any acros, 100% LPS in my tank. I typically just cut the bottom off the plug and leave the base. I’m always afraid I’ll kill something trying to remove the base.
I use coral Rx which is iodine based I think, and add in some restore.
I like the batches idea, that makes sense so they don’t sit in the dip too long. I’ll probably try that.
What’s the advantage of KCl? Does that work best for acros?
I’ve had mine so long I don’t even remember. But they’re black so probably this.Which ones do you have? I feel like I need to replace mine after 2.5 years. I got the Aquavitro (fancy seachem) line of bone cutters.
I certainly have the sawOne thing nobody mentioned, but I think is also important, at least for acros it is:

I have not had issues with it. Before that I used to revive, which I think is like RX.Do you find KCL easier on sps?
I’m just cutting acro off the frag plug not harvesting off the reef. HahaI certainly have the saw
