One thing nobody mentioned, but I think is also important, at least for acros it is:
Cut the base off the acro, ideally cut into health tissue and remount it. If you don’t want to do that, at least scrub the base and below.
what do you do to cut acros? I always feel like bone cutters make a mess. Someday in the distant future I want a gryphon band saw.

Do you do this with SBB frags? I've never removed plugs day one. Always dip and into tank, let them acclimate for a few days first

I don’t have any acros, 100% LPS in my tank. I typically just cut the bottom off the plug and leave the base. I’m always afraid I’ll kill something trying to remove the base.

I use coral Rx which is iodine based I think, and add in some restore.

I like the batches idea, that makes sense so they don’t sit in the dip too long. I’ll probably try that.

What’s the advantage of KCl? Does that work best for acros?

Works for anything. I'm not sure of the main advantages of KCL other than it is supposed to be gentle. Coral RX is tea tree type oil I thought, not iodine. It doesn't have any yellow color to it.

Which ones do you have? I feel like I need to replace mine after 2.5 years. I got the Aquavitro (fancy seachem) line of bone cutters.
I’ve had mine so long I don’t even remember. But they’re black so probably this.

Interesting about cutting the acro base off the plug. I’ve just been cutting the stem off the plug and gluing that way.

What’s the advantage of cutting it at the base from the plug?
