Hello,

I recently purchased the SC Aquariums 50 PNP System. I am in the process of trying to utilize the sump in the most efficient way possible, and have come across the filter media Marinepure.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what I can do to maximize the filtration? I was thinking I would start by removing the bio-balls and replacing it with the Marinepure Bio Balls. I also was going to get a hang-on filter sock as well for that compartment.

What can I do in the center compartment? More Marinepure?

Hm....it sounds like you have no plans for the space...in that case, I'd try to keep the space as empty as possible - it's a very busy sump by design already! ;) All you really need down there is a skimmer and return pump.

Maybe when the tank is set up and you've had it going for a while you'll have some other uses for the space come up - you'll be glad you kept it empty! :)
