Hello,

Has on had any experience with SC Aquariums? More so in particular with the SC Aquariums 150 Gallon Starfire Tank 60x24x24" Bulit-in Overflow Herbie Ready?

I'm looking to get back into the hobby and want to do a 150 g build.

Thanks

I have an SC Aquarium, I bought the 50g PNP. It's really good quality and glad I got it on sale. The LOC-Line is super cheap though, but it doesn't bother me.

I have the 66g and really like it. I dont have anything bad to say about them and would definitely recommend them over marineland tanks or another mass produced tank commonly seen in the hobby. I got mine almost a year ago on "black friday" and got a great deal on it.

I have the SC 150gallon. Love the tank! Only thing I don't love about it is the euro-brace... I found it limiting to the kind of light mounts I could use. My kessil goosenecks barely hang on.

Looking at it do think the ecotech radion lights can mount to the tank?

Not too familiar with the ecotech mounting arms, I'm sure they will work fine. I do however, have peace of mind though knowing that the tank has added support from the eurobraces. All in all, it's an amazing tank, well-built and great value. I am using the entire PNP set-up which includes a 68 gallon sump and the dark wood stand.

Sounds good. Another question for ya. What's the dimensions of the stand?

Just want to chime in about the stand from SC Aquariums, I'm not sure about the larger ones, but I had to put mine together. The wood is VERY heavy and isn't particle board which is a plus!

60" wide x 24" deep x 31.5" high

Thanks for answering my questions. If I do purchase the tank I will get a custom stand made as I want my stand to be 42" tall since where I'm putting the tank to view it you will be standing and not sitting.

You can call them directly and speak to the owner, he is awesome. I love sc aquariums. The owner is William. I live down the street from the actual warehouse which is open to the public. Their tanks are beautiful

I saw their tanks at Reef-a-palooza last year and I was very impressed with the construction. Very good quality, I was getting ready to buy one, but got a good deal on a used setup that would of been stupid for me to pass up. To answer your question about euro brace and the radion mount, it will work just fine. I'll get you a pic of the radion mount over my eurobraced tank.

Looks nice! Are the single arm mounts the same way? I want to do 3 separate mounts and lights.
