How big do they get? do they split or do people cut them up when they get too big? Thinking about getting one.

I haven't seen them reproduced in reef tanks. They don't split and fragging them only makes multiple smaller ones at best.

Oh ok. Cool. Thank you. I was wondering if they get real big.

Well I just got my scolymia. Thanks for all the info. This thing rocks! It looks like it has a battery in it. Managed to get a picture before the lights went out. If this passes the
terminators test. That's my Copper banded butterfly. I will get a few more. Great addition to the aquarium.

I wish you the best,
but im afraid that copperband might acquire a taste for flesh...

Yeah he will not let me have a trach. I don't event try anymore. He leaves most of my LPS alone. I know what he likes and doesn't. Oh and if you decide to frag a chalice or something, its lunch time.

So far so good. The Scoly is really happy and vibrant. I think I'm going to get a couple more. I had no idea they were so vibrant. Great addition to the reef!
Oh and the terminator is not paying it a bit of attention ;Happy

Never heard of fragging a scoly. Probably why they fetch the price they do. 3-5" max for size and they come in some crazy colors. They like being spot fed a few times a week, like other fleshy LPS.

Oh ok. Yeah they look like they shouldn't be messed with now that I have one. I really like it though
