What's good?? I don't have a scoly but I have a nice open brain... Either way good water quality is good water regardless of the coral. If possible please post the numbers..

preferably nitrates, nitrites and ammonia will be at 0. It's also possible that you have too much flow for your coral. I would try to move it to a new place. If possible, do a 20% water change. That usually makes corals happier. Have you added anything new to the tank lately? Or any major changes that have taken place?

Scolys are a LPS coral, they like cleaner water ,10ppm or less nitrates, but they also like MAG CAL and ALK in check as well.... if it has been in the same spot with the same flow and it's been happy then it is more than likely water quality.... But numbers is what we need...

That looks more like a meat coral to me. Is this the only time that it has done this. They will take all different shapes at times. I think it looks nice and heathy. I wouldn't be too worried about it too much. It looks like it's reaching for light alittle. Do you feed it?

Yes I feed it I don't know if it's a meat or a sculy I had a meat and it looked similar but not identical I got it as a sculy I'm having trouble figuring out the light on it I have the actinics on it from 10:30 to 11 and the halides on from 6-9
