Are you guys/girls able to get full scolys in america? this is what we have in the uk i have just bought this 1 i probs paid 1/5th for this though if it was in its true form and it will be fun watching it grow :D

Yes, in fact full scolys seem to be a lot more common than pie-slice scolys. Button scolys have also started becoming popular.

How much did you pay for that slice of pie? That's my biggest annoyance with scolys, is how much they are relative to similar corals. That, and the fact that quite a few things think they're tasty.

Lots of vendors are "aquaculturing" frag's of scoly's and charging full price for these mutilations. It reminds me of some countries where prisoners have to pay for the cost of their stays. It's a crime if you like scoly's now.

Lots of vendors are "aquaculturing" frag's of scoly's and charging full price for these mutilations. It reminds me of some countries where prisoners have to pay for the cost of their stays. It's a crime if you like scoly's now.

i hope they dont start doing this with acanthophyllia tho

People who grow these successfully seem to be happy with the results. My success rate with scoly's has been abysmal, so I don't have a time for recovery.

Your hopes are shattered already, but they have not become popular as scoly choppers have. A few LFS near me have Scoly bites for sale.

It's all just a matter of time.
They already normalized selling non-encrusted SPS frags or selling single zoanthid polyps. If they can get away with selling half or a quarter of a polyp, they will do so for all corals that survive this treatment

The demand seems to be too high and the whole import process appears to be very loss heavy for certain corals. I think the prices will get even higher and frags even smaller.

It's been with us for awhile, just getting mainstream and due to the squeeze on importation from the natural sources.

aquasd spams this place but has really bad reviews. also during labor day they were adverting 65% sitewide but not on scolys they told me but then were posting pictures of scolys for sale here that would only be 10% when you went to the site.

I ended up buying 2 from salt critters that are amazing bright orange and green
