Ok folks. Let me clear this up. I had no intentions of screwing over the store. ( prefer not naming it, because well nobody's perfect) I did not know the value of what I got till I got home and looked it up. I started looking up sabe and realized that's not what I got. I simply posted on here about the coral itself. And that my reef tank is slowly coming together. I think I would have posted about getting the sabe too. As far as price, I'm comfortable paying 25 for just about any kind of nice looking coral.

Sounds good. I misunderstood and spoke too soon. The coral looks great.

This thread is hilarious I must say. Corals are misidentified all the time... by the wholesalers, on shipping lists, doesn't mean they lost money on it...

OP- Nice coral good find, be careful wall hammers are sensitive to alkalinity swings or low alk and will recede rather quickly so be aware of that.

So eg8r210 do you feel the same say if one of the big box stores like Best Buy had a flat screen mis priced at 100 bucks... your gonna say to the employee you know what that should retail for $2,000? Just an example but I really think you've gone overboard with this.

Ethics are ethics imo, be it a mislabeled coral or a box store big screen. Saving grace here was, op had no idea what he bought. So, nice pick-up I guess. Go ahead, name the store, maybe they have a web site, and maybe they are just inexpensive, and maybe we can all reap. LOL

Let's just say its a very well known store.....lol believe it was mentioned even.
Thanks for the info on my hammer.
And yes, this has been a good
one

Yes I feel the same way no matter what type of store. This is not what the OP did and I apologized for it. I am not perfect (I do go over the speed limit regularly ) but yes, many times, I have let the store employee/manager/owner know that something was mislabled and paid the correct price. I support my LFS and this honesty has always proven the best method for me.

lol, I believe only one store was mentioned and that store mislabels fish and corals ALL. THE. TIME. Everything comes in as a stock number and is sold that way. They try to put actual name labels with them but fail a lot. The real loser was probably the whole saler.

Once again, great score.

24.00 dollars would be a score for either... actually sebae might even be more...
But anyway it is good its a hammer because it is far easier to keep and being new a sebae would be too hard to keep..

Why ignore the question? This has nothing to do with whether a person has any business keeping saltwater livestock.

I'm sorry but If I go into a LFS and see something labeled extremely cheap im not going to tell them they're doing a bad job and to raise the price on me.
