Scroll Coral Growing Upside Down?!?

I've had a small Flying Saucer scroll in my tank for about 3-4 months now and it appears that its growth (which has been slow) is going down and almost in like a reverse cup. Basically the opposite of what I'd expect.

It's in a area of high flow coming across it and is in the lower 1/3 of the tank under an Ethereal LED. It seems quite happy with great PE, just curious about the growth pattern. Anyone else have similar experience?

Sometimes under LED's sps grow away from the light ime, but it is called a scroll coral for a reason so maybe it's just scrolling. :)
