Hello everyone, I wanted to have information about crinoid's maintenance in aquarium.

Someone has he already kept? Is it that hard?
It would be for my non-photosynthetic tank.

Thank you !

Feather stars are filter feeders. If you're used to feeding non-photosynthetic corals anyway, it shouldn't be too difficult an addition. Just cover your powerheads so he doesn't get caught in them.

Please don't take my word as gospel, though. I have never kept one.

Okay, in june i will doing a stage at a big National Aquarium in France, Nausicaa, i hope have a lot of informations to maintain crinoid

Any update as to the crinoid? Foods, etc? Got one the other day myself because someone else thought it would be easier.. lol (they soured their tank trying to feed so much)
At the moment I have some black sun corals I adopted and they're spawning regularly, have a few pop up around the tank.
Right now I feed Reef Energy, Nutricell, Reef Chili, and decapsulated brine shrimp eggs. It's only been in my tank a few days but he does close up during the day still. This is a good sign from what I've heard.
