Hi all,
I got a sea hair this past weekend do eat the bryopsis in my 30 long. Pretty much all it’s doing is hanging out on the glass. I keep moving him to spots with bryopsis but he goes back to the glass. Also, I’ve seen him simply fall off it. It almost seems his suction system isn’t working well... is this a sign of bad health, normal behavior or what? Any advice would be appreciated. I had a sea hare and it ate everything off the glass. Never did venture onto the rocks. I dont think a 30 gallon tank is big enough for the hare even with a ton of algae. Maybe it never ate the type of algae you have or is too weak and on its way out. Most starve to death.

Sea hares do not eat bryopsis
You must remove as much as you can by hand and reduce white light intensity.
Use liquid vibrant or Flux (fluconasal) which will attack roots and rid of the bryopsis

The sea hare is only meant to eat the crap on the rocks. Its more of a tool than a permanent resident.
