I have a 75 gallon mixed reef tank. I am bout 8 months in and having an outbreak of Ulva. Would you recommend a Sea Hare or Urchin? Specific hare or urchin would help as well.

I was thinking a Sea hare, but worried about it getting in a wavemaker/powerhead. I would clean them up well before adding though. i hope being devoid of any algae would deter them from crawling around a power head. I am worried about an urchin just bulldozing through the tank as well though.

So thoughts?

I am battling tons of ulva in my frag tank and this weekend I put in a tuxedo urchin and it has been going to work on the ulva. It’s a big frag tank so just waiting for more urchins to show up a my LFS. I think urchins are the way to go for ulva

In a past tank I tried a sea hair and it wedged into a hole on my rock got stuck and died. I read other people with the same thing happening where they like to get themselves stuck then die
