Sea hare question... should I be worried?

They tuck inside the rock and look like rock. Almost impossible if they hide on the back side of the tank. I'm assuming you can't see back side of the tank

Well idk where he came from but the newest one appeared out of thin air almost an is cruising around the tank. Still no clue where my blue spot went to

But my tank isnt really that immersive for them to hide so well... next time I'm gonna watch it till it goes into hiding. I wanna know where they lay at.

I have one in my 30 gal cube. I don't know where he hides but mine also is an expert at it. See him every once in awhile.

They hide the first few days and active at evening and night. They hang at flow boxes and upper part of tank during day or in area of current

Did you look for them at night? Mine hide during light cycles, buried in the sand. If the are dead, well, they are dead.

I have one in my JBJ45. It comes out at night and feeds on a nori clip I put out for him. All the nori is gone every morning. If your tank is fairly clean they may need supplemental feeding. Worth a try.

My tank has alot of hair algea growing in tufts every where and the most recent sea hare is eating it. Or some of it. I've seen a line where he ate straight through a tuft of it. But doesnt seem to be eating like crazy. Hes super active to. All times of the day for me even night. I'm going to assume the jeweled hare is gone. Have not seen any sign of him at night nor day since added. Like he just vanished. But here's a pic of the trooper sticking around! The acan is the size of a soft ball if not bigger this guy is maybe tennis ball size. But has alot of mass to him. Was surprised at how heavy he was when I handled him into the tank.

This tuft used to be a 2inch by 2inch square and you can see where hes been putting a dent in it.

He doesnt seem to be interested in this stuff though. Second picture. No idea what it is. Looks like my kelerpa in the fuge almost.

Well sorry to report to you all, but the recent sea hard has moved on as of today. Not entirely sure why, but it happened.. noticed its color changing yesterday and then today after work, found it stiff like a rock. The original one was not to be found either. This sucks to because I liked the diversity they added.. only thing I can thing of is the tank just wasnt mature enough or something..

Yeah never saw the black one again, and the other one died right around the week mark. Not sure why though.

I think they like macro algae better. I have the red OGO from Algaebarn and this guy almost never stops eating.
