Hi!

Even after rinsing twice, the water became cloudy after adding Seachem Matrix to aquarium. Is this harmful to livestock? I'm thinking it is dust from the Matrix. Haven't dosed more bacteria.

Thank you in advance!

sounds like you're cycling your tank which I believe is normal for bacteria to bloom initially, which might be the cloudiness you are experiencing

I can confirm its not harmful, maybe not desirable, but it should clear through your filtration system. It may make the skimmer overskim as well.

I know this for sure because the first batch I added to my large system, (full of livestock) despite being washed had the same effect!

Ive found you need to rinse it many times, also soak it and keep replacing the water, to get all the dust out of it
