anyone uses Seachem Reef Phytoplankton to start their plankton starter to grow rotifers or pods?

If it's doesnt have to be refrigerated than it's a dead culture.
You best bet is to purchase a live culture and start that way. Most that you buy at the Lfs have multiple species added together. When you try to culture from that it usually crashes.
