Seapora balanced pro reef salt

Has anyone used this new salt yet? Our lfs just started carrying/using it and is running a huge introductory sale.

they sell a lot of rebranded items. very similar to aquamaxx (now aquaready) and their tanks are exactly the same as the old deep blue ones. they are a budget company.
that said salt is salt. if u buy it make sure to test salinity, ph, nitrate, phosphate, calcium, alk, and magnesium for at least the first bucket/box to make sure the parameters are fit for your tank.
what is the intro price and what sizes or gallons made?

even cheaper than io!? that might be a great deal then but u dont trust it in your reef yet? have you done any icp tests recently to see about any heavy metals?

I admit I tried it on my mature softie tank and the corals didn't like it at all, I had to change back after 2 months. I didn't try on my main tank based on the softie tank experience.

I use coral pro salt purple bucket on my 2 coral tanks so I guess the composition would be very different from this cheap stuff, I assumed that was the reason my corals reacted negatively. As you suggested to the OP to test the parameters, I didn't do this, so I figured it is my fault.

I've been using this on my seahorse tank for a long while now, which does have a giant sinularia and a mangrove tree. Both have been fine with it, and my seahorses are perfectly healthy, I do large 40%-60% water changes weekly on that tank.

No I have never done an icp test.

Buckets of the pro reef were $39.95. Going to mix up a small batch and see how it's goes. They claimed levels look good. Just will have to see how they test out

How do you like the salt? I'm running out of my red sea coral pro, the new price is kind of rediculous.

Hello! I went to one of my supply store looking for my Red Sea Coral Pro Salt and the store manager showed me a Seapora Salt and He said that is the same than Red Sea Coral Pro Salt but cheaper ($16) I noticed the sack says Made In Israel like Red Sea Pro Salt but I thought what if this salt is no the smae quality so I decided for Red Sea again.
