I recently posted about a hammer that I had in my tank looking weird almost "scabbed up" if I had to describe it. I received some comments saying that it was okay and that it could just be angry. Fast forward and last week I had a my first hammer bailout. Now this week I'm having another one. I'm not too sure if this coral was sick and is affecting my other ones or is this something to do with my levels. My tank has been up and running for 11 months and currently has torch coral and goniporas that are all thriving and happy. I will post my levels and some photos of the coral that I was most concerned about. None of the corals that had a bailout showed any prior signs of distress unfortunately.

This is the coral that had been looking a little weird for a couple of weeks and the only way I could describe it was that it looked "scabbed up" when you looked down into the polyps.

@Randy Holmes-Farley. Tagging you only because I'm receiving a lot of comments on the cross post on reddit saying this is due to my phosphate levels being too high. Just wanted your opinion.

Sometimes certain corals or types of corals just don't do well in certain systems. Your parameters are ok. Phosphates are high, IMHO, but many run reefs in that range with great success. I would bring up calcium and magnesium a bit, closer to the higher end of natural seawater levels.

What would you suggest to bring the levels up to for calcium and magnesium

I don't keep euphylia but I have a tank that runs Phosphate 0.4 - 0.9+ and keep some softies LPS and a few SPS. Some people have beautiful coral filled tanks with levels much higher than 0.2 . Personally I would never seek advise from FB or YouTube. There's just too much knowledge here even tho some of it has to be sifted through. I don't think I've ever failed to get an answer a question asked.
