Hi! I figured I’d jump in and share my short progress. This is my second tank from a 5g up to a 20H. I’m working with live sand and dry rock.

This was put up on Monday night.

Refugium will be my next project after it cycles.

Today, it’s officially 24hrs into cycling using fish food. It is topped off completely but not sure how to work out the foam at the top. Came from live sand. I’m looking at poly pads to clean up any other particles that might be an issue.

Officially 35 days into the cycle as of today. I can't believe how fast time has flown. I'm trying so hard to hold off a little longer to get the copepods culture going in my 5g and DIY refugium that I will be installing soon. (Rent first as always). As soon as I can get the fish in, I will update. I changed the rock decorations around so it has more room for more rock. I literally could add another 10lbs easily if I needed to but I'm not sure whether that will crash the tank or not.

I am a little unsure about how to go about this but do I introduce my cleanup crew first before the clownfish or will they kill them if I add the clownfish first? I know personality plays a role in this on the clowns. I'm looking at a blue-legged crab, a cleaner shrimp, and maybe a goby? I was thinking either a blue neon cleaner goby or black belly nano goby.

First invertebrate in the tank is a red or scarlet legged hermit crab. Asked for a blue but didn’t realize until I left. Took immediately to the rocks as soon as they were released.

These are so cool. :) The last two were chopped krill that the clownfish didn’t touch.
