Looks like good rock.
I bought mine used too.

I soaked in bins with some bleach and water for a couple days. Rinsed really well and then sun dried.
Then soaked in bins with water and vinegar for 24 hours.
Rinsed really well again.
Soaked in RODI water for a few days and then let dry in the sun for a few days.

If you are concerned about anything leeching from the rock, you could soak them in rodi for a few days and then test - especially for PO4. Otherwise, rinse it and use it!
I took your advice and soaked them in rodi water, its been 24 hrs and i tested them for p04 and the reading came up as 0.5
I dont know if the reading is off because its not saltwater, but thats the result i got
Any suggestions?
